All shades of yellow: a Lebanese destination wedding in Athens, Greece
This wedding brought together 85 family and friends for a warm and intimate celebration inspired by the couple’s playful spirit and love for meaningful details. The overall design was built around a monochromatic yellow palette, drawn from the color of lemons, and complemented by soft tones of white and olive green to create a fresh and balanced Mediterranean setting.
Inspired by the couple’s story—the first thing they bought together was a lemon tree—the décor focused on simplicity with a light, contemporary feel. Clean white linens, sculptural candleholders, and subtle olive accents created a refined base, while fresh lemons were incorporated throughout the tablescape as a natural and consistent motif. For the reception, round tables were joined in a soft, wavy formation to form one long shared table, encouraging connection and offering a modern take on communal dining.
The highlight of the evening was the food, designed as a celebration of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. Guests enjoyed a generous buffet featuring traditional flavors, seasonal ingredients, and live cooking stations, all paired with carefully selected local wines. The overall dining experience was relaxed, interactive, and true to the region’s culinary culture.
Personal touches added character to the day. Guests received lemon-shaped candles with the message “Life gives you lemons? Lit ’em up!”, while the groom was surprised with a ride to the ceremony in his favorite car, a classic Porsche. The couple’s first dance, performed while rapping along to their song, brought a fun and unexpected energy to the celebration.
This wedding combined a clear design concept with thoughtful details and a relaxed atmosphere, creating a celebration that felt both personal and effortlessly put together.
