Green affair: A Multicultural Filipino/Cambodian Wedding in Sevilla, Spain
This couple celebrated their love with 42 guests at Hacienda Los Molinillos in Seville, Spain, choosing the historic estate for its colonial architecture, lush olive groves, palm trees, and Andalusian charm. Inspired by quiet luxury with a playful, whimsical twist, the design embraced an organic palette of layered greens, the bride’s favorite color, complemented by cream tones, natural textures, and delicate florals, with vibrant Spanish-inspired accents adding personality and energy.
The ceremony took place in the hacienda’s private courtyard, surrounded by greenery. White wrought-iron chairs were adorned with personalized green fans, while organic grasses and white calla lilies lined the aisle. A softly draped cream arch, inspired by the wedding stationery, featured cascading greenery and calla lilies flowing from the balcony above. The ceremony incorporated the traditional Cambodian Gaat Sah hair-cutting ritual, symbolizing cleansing and new beginnings, alongside the exchange of arras, representing the couple’s commitment to sharing their future together.
Cocktail hour combined playful details with cultural references. Oversized cream parasols and bamboo chairs subtly honored Filipino heritage, while patterned green linens, customized napkins, and personalized glass holders added character. A Polaroid guestbook encouraged spontaneous memories, while a temporary tattoo station featuring illustrations designed by the groom, a tattoo artist, became a guest favorite.
Dinner was arranged around a U-shaped table, encouraging connection beneath twinkling fairy lights. Elegant tablescapes combined cream linens, black wrought-iron chairs, vintage matte-gold cutlery, sage-green napkins, moss arrangements, and white candles. Arch-shaped place cards with green tassels echoed the ceremony design, while a custom Sahara sand-colored dance floor anchored the setting.
Guests enjoyed an interactive Spanish dining experience featuring Iberian ham, regional specialties, wines, and a mojito corner. Replacing the traditional wedding cake, fifteen colorful jell-o cakes were cut simultaneously by the couple and their guests, creating a vibrant rainbow symbolizing joy and togetherness.
The evening continued with an energetic flamenco performance and lively dancing beneath sparkling disco balls.
A celebration where multicultural traditions, organic elegance, and playful creativity came together effortlessly, A & S’s Seville wedding reflected their personalities through thoughtful design and unforgettable shared experiences.
