Shades of orange: A multicultural Spanish & New Zealander Wedding in Mallorca island, Spain

Sophie & Jorge celebrated their love with 75 guests at a private venue nestled in the mountains of Mallorca, Spain. Their intimate celebration captured the island’s natural beauty through a refined palette of ivory, emerald green, and tangerine, complemented by soft tones of cream, daisy yellow, and honey mustard.

Inspired by Mallorca’s vibrant mandarins, the décor embraced simplicity and warmth. White tablecloths, transparent glassware, and silver cutlery created a minimalist base for bold floral arrangements featuring orange dahlias, daisies, and white peonies. “Mallorca chairs” blended seamlessly with the venue’s stone walls, while white ceramic vases, candles, and fairy lights added a touch of understated magic. A mandarin placed on each plate brought a charming, authentic nod to the island.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food—a true tribute to Spanish culture. Guests enjoyed an exquisite menu beginning with octopus served with potato and sobrasada cream, followed by lamb timbale with plum sauce, and a passion fruit and apricot tart with raspberry sorbet for dessert. The meal was paired with Vega de la Reina white, Marqués de la Concordia red, and MM Brut Nature prosecco.

A Patxaran-inspired seating chart and small bottles of the Basque liqueur as wedding favors honored the groom’s heritage, adding a heartfelt personal touch. Sophie & Jorge’s Mallorca wedding was a beautiful harmony of local charm, elegant design, and culinary artistry.
