Burgundy Hex: A timeless Iraqi/British Wedding celebrated at a 17th-Century castle in Athens Riviera
Peter & Mariam celebrated their love with 150 guests at a stunning 17th-century castle on the Athens Riviera. Their timeless, vintage-inspired wedding blended history, elegance, and personal storytelling.
The ceremony featured minimal decor to highlight the ancient church, with white pillars, porcelain vases, and dramatic floral arrangements of grapes and figs. Four Iraqi priests officiated as a Lebanese choir performed Arabic hymns, creating a deeply moving atmosphere.
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed vintage lounge areas, a grapevine-inspired seating chart, and a "memory lane" of family wedding photos. A tea bar honored the couple’s Iraqi and British roots, while fairy lights illuminated the evening.
The reception tablescape exuded regal charm, with antique silverware, porcelain statues, and celestial-inspired details reflecting the bride’s love for astronomy. Guests dined on a Mediterranean feast with interactive stations, followed by a lavish dessert spread featuring a live churros station. A late-night Greek gyros stand was a crowd favorite.
Peter & Mariam’s wedding was a breathtaking fusion of culture, heritage, and sophistication. Thank you for trusting us with your dream!
